アニールやスピンコートにより作製した等方的な膜を基準にして紫外可視吸収や赤外吸収を比較する手法(QACIOS法)により、非晶質有機半導体蒸着膜の分子長軸や官能基の配向パラメータを高い信頼性で系統的に定量評価した。加熱中の積層構造内の官能基配向変化や構造異性体の系統的な配向変化を追跡し、分子配向の形成ダイナミクスを議論した。

分解することなく安定に蒸着可能な低コスト・高非晶性のフッ素樹脂を有機EL正孔輸送材料と共蒸着することにより、特異な相分離構造を形成させて電気特性を損なうことなく正孔輸送層の屈折率を能動的に大幅に低減し、有機ELデバイスの光取り出し効率を著しく向上できることを実証した。共蒸着するだけで光取り出し効率を大幅に向上できる新たな手法を提示した。
